Although I think the dark mark would look a lot better if they had used more lights, it still rocks. rox. roxorz.

MUAHAHAHAHA, though. We (Krystyn and I) brandished ourselves with dark mark tattoos for the midnight release of HP7. For some reason, we were disappointed that the pack of tattoos we bought for the party only had hogwarts logos/crests and lightning scars, so we drew dark marks YEAH! Actually, we devised a way to make them work like temporary tattoos, almost: using a watery ink pen (I still don't know wtf you call those things.. they're not ballpoint really... almost like gel pens... roller ink??), I traced our sketches (Krystyn asked me to trace and embellish hers) on paper. Then we pressed the paper to our left arms and dabbed a wet sponge on the paper, so the ink bled off the paper onto our arms. THE MAGNIFICENT RESULT:

Yes okay, our snakes are in different directions... we hadn't realized that the image would be inverted before we did the mark on my arm, so for K's, I inked out the sketch on the back of the paper... XD (I'm probably not making much sense right now... oh well) of course, by the end of the night in the extremely hot/sweaty book store (probably filled over capacity with squibs and wannabe witches and wizards... and yes muggles too) my dark mark faded out... it was upsetting, because we were going to threaten the guy behind us to give us one of his two hogwarts pins that he had, but who would feel threatened by a faded, sweat-dripped dark mark?

In other news, I'm in East Campus (possibly until the end of orientation). Yaay. Of course, BC was my first choice, but I relish the fact that I can roll out of bed and get to class in 5 mins if I'm at EC. [EDIT: Also I relish EAST CAMPUS'S AWESOMENESS 08182008]

And the latest.

I expect Umbridge's face to look something like this, when she's narrowing her eyes (which I expect will be quite often, since she's in constant disdain of hogwarts):

"She looked just like a large, pale toad. She was rather squat with a broad, flabby face, as little neck as Uncle Vernon and a very wide, slack mouth. Her eyes were large, round and slightly bulging. Even the little black velvet bow perched on top of her short curly hair put him in mind of a large fly she was about to catch on a long sticky tongue." (OP8) (Source: HP Lexicon)

Of course, the picture is of none other than Roz from Monsters, Inc.. Disney (Pixar) and Harry Potter, how I love you both.
